Adoption Certificates

We have a strict policy against giving pets as gifts.
Every year, shelters clear at Christmas time as animals are given as presents.
Unfortunately, many of these animals are returned after January when it is realized that they weren't right for the home or the novelty wears off.
Many of the animals who come to us are the result of birthday gifts, anniversaries, and even Prom-Posals.
At The Ohio Pet Sanctuary, we are taking a different approach to animals for gifts.
We value the human/animal bond and we don’t just want the animals to find A home; we want them to find the RIGHT home.
This is the reason we are offering pet certificates.
This way, the person can choose the animal that is right for them and their family instead of a random animal as a gift in the hopes that it will be a match.
We hope this new method will benefit both the animals in our care and the people who will love them.

At this time we are social distancing to assure that we all stay healthy and limit our interactions so email is the best form of contact for now. Thank you for your continued support!

By requesting a certificate, you acknowledge that the purchase of a pet certificate does not constitute an approved adoption and that the recipient must complete the standard adoption process. You understand that the certificate is to be used in place of the adoption fee only and cannot be exchanged for a refund, cash, or credit.
